This digital space is the product of meaningful community-led creation. In 2019 the Canadian HIV Pregnancy Planning Guideline (CHPPG) Team (visit www.hivpregnancyplanning.com) identified a need for parenting and reproductive health planning for positive people and communities in Canada and beyond. To support a community-led process of self-determination, three community members were hired to develop a framework for the project. Together with members of the academic CHPPG team, an idea was generated and a co-design team (www.thepublicstudio.ca) was brought into the team. By Spring 2021, 11 community members from across Canada (yes really coast to coast lived experience) were on board. We share many experiences – living with HIV at the core. Beyond that we are diverse. We are straight. We are queer. We are trans. We are cis. We resist binaries. We were born on these lands as settlers. We were born on our Indigenous lands near and far. We are parents. We do not want to be parents. We are community. This digital space is the coming together of many ways of knowing including formal academic knowledge and lived expertise.
